Construction Chat  is a weekly chat on Thursday mornings at 9:00 a.m. Pacific Time.  If you’re free, we’d love you to join us. We had a great chat today about resolutions, goals, and how to get there.

This week is focused on Google Plus, the social network we tend to ignore and ridicule. But is she really worth ignoring?

We know that if you blog, you want…

75,000 Hits

Aviary Photo_130609156430952640A short time ago I had the milestone of reaching the 50,000th hit on this website – now today we hit 75,000.  Thanks to all and if the materials on this site have helped to prevent a single injury, than it has all been worth it.  Keep up the amazing work – those who do not suffer injuries may never know, as those injuries did not happen, but your good work is recognized here.

Thank you.

The Drone Interviews (Part Two)

Good article on drones.

Rob McKinney, The Construction App Guru's avatarThe Construction App Guru

The topics of drones used on construction projects has become an ever increasingly popular one. While the rules from the FAA are in place, the interpretation of those rules is up for debate. I know a small group of “hobbiest” that are pioneering what construction professionals can do with these amazing devices. I recently sat down with another AGC Georgia Technology Committee Member, Cory Montgomery, to discuss his plans for using drones.

CAG: How get idea to use drones?

CM: I read several technology blogs that have discussed the availability of the units and the quality of the photos or video I could get from using one. I started experimenting with building my own drone unit.

After doing some pricing research I…

Groups in LinkedIn Moderate Me

They think this website is about sales or whatever, so I get ‘moderated.’  And posts are delayed…so why not follow this blog so you don’t get information that is months old.

Don’t get me wrong, making a few $$ off of the site would be nice, but, as you see, there is no advertising, no fee – I don’t even have any tracking MalWare!

Free Book – Guidance for Occupational Health Professionals

An interesting book – this one has a copyright on it, but is offered for free – if anyone has a complaint, let me know and I will delete this post.  Oddly, it is offered in Word format, but I am posting here in Word and PDF (a PDF is easier to read in iBooks on an iPad).

Traffic Has Spiked – Thank You

confused-IT-managerTraffic has spiked to 3 – 4 times the normal daily traffic.  I even had over 400 hits from Mongolia.  Although I certainly appreciate the traffic – I am a bit confused as to what I am doing differently.  Any thoughts?  I am not moderating comments, so feel free to offer thoughts.  I would like to keep the higher traffic – more traffic and more hits, more employees being trained, fewer workers in the world being hurt (or worse).

Thank you!
